Next Gen Neuro Awarded Ambulatory Care-Telehealth Accreditation from The Joint Commission

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN, June 25, 2021) – Next Gen Neuro has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Ambulatory Care-Telehealth Accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.

Next Gen Neuro underwent a rigorous onsite review on June 25th, 2021. During the visit, a Joint Commission surveyor evaluated compliance with Ambulatory Care-Telehealth standards spanning several areas including emergency management, environment of care, human resources and leadership, performance improvement and rights and responsibilities of the individual.

The Joint Commission’s standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help health care organizations measure, assess and improve performance. The surveyors also conducted onsite observations and interviews.

“As a private accreditor, The Joint Commission surveys health care organizations to protect the public by identifying deficiencies in care and working with those organizations to correct them as quickly and sustainably as possible,” says Mark Pelletier, RN, MS, chief operating officer, Accreditation and Certification Operations, and chief nursing executive, The Joint Commission. “We commend Next Gen Neuro for its continuous quality improvement efforts in patient safety and quality of care.”

“Achieving the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission confirms Next Gen Neuro’s commitment to the organizations we serve and their patients,” said Leisha Osburn, CEO of Next Gen Neuro. “I am proud of our exceptional team of registered EEG technologists, reading physicians, neurodiagnostic assistants and administrative staff who are committed to providing reliable, high-quality care. I believe it says a lot about our team and the processes we’ve put in place that we passed our survey on the first attempt with no requirements for improvement.”

To prepare for The Joint Commission’s accreditation process, Next Gen Neuro diligently worked to align policies and procedures to Joint Commission standards to ensure full compliance. Next Gen Neuro’s administrative and clinical team collaborated to create performance improvement initiatives while continuously providing high quality patient care.
